Dr. Ward was excellent! The best root canal Ive had yet, as far as being painless, very well numbed, he explained what was going in every step in the way. Lastly, the procedure didnt even tank 1 hour! Very pleased!

LOVED Dr Ward!!!! He explained everything as he went. Him and the gal he worked with worked great as a team. He was a very polite asking for the tool he needed etc. He was also to me also when he needed to remind me to open more. No anxiety with Dr Ward working in my mouth!!!

Dr. Ward did not explain things to me as he was doing the procedure but the pain wasnt as bad as I expected and it was gone by the next day, so I appreciate his knowledge and skill and his pleasant personality.

Would absolutely recommend Dr. Ward because he showed me on the screen the situation that needed attention and explained the steps needed to take care of the situation and explained that In some cases there is a possibility that the work and reason it might not be able to be completed but each step went well and the root canal work was able to be completed as he explained It. Very kind and professional care.

Dr. Ward was very professional and honest. He did a fantastic job of walking me through everything he was doing and advised against the root canal when he realized there was an additional problem that the root canal wouldnt fix. I respect him for making that call.

Helen and Dr. Ward work very well together. Dr. Ward is meticulous and carefully thorough doing a root canal. He is relaxed and patient during the procedure, which put me well at ease during the process. While I wouldnt wish the necessity of a root canal on anyone, if you do need one, this is the team to choose.

Never ever having had a root canal previously, I was somewhat terrified of the procedure beforehand, especially considering its rather fearsome reputation. However, the dentist did such an excellent and thorough job of explaining each step of the procedure while he was performing it, that I was quickly put at ease and had all of my concerns allayed. This was especially appreciated, and in sharp contrast to many other dentists I have encountered who say little to nothing while they work, and make no effort to reassure the patient!

I really felt that Dr. Ward listened and answered all of my questions. He listen intently to my explanations and also helped me understand the decision that I was making. Honestly I was prepared to go in and have to debate what I wanted, I even asked multiple family members before the appointment to prepare for battle. Thank you Dr. Ward I honestly can say that getting my tooth extracted was very very pleasantdare I say even fun with Dr. Lispisa and his assistant(just went on vaca to NC).

I think Dr. ward has a wealth of knowledge to share with the younger dentists he would be an excellent mentor and displayed wonderful customer service ( bedside manner) during the procedure. I consider myself a high pain tolerance and dental issues do not scare me. The way the doctor and his assistant handled it was very compassionate. I know some people are very afraid of dental work.I would gladly recommend this team to anyone!

Rather than doing a root canal, the dentist recommended a tooth extraction. He made this based on the xrays and notes from the dentist without looking at my tooth. I wish this was communicated to me via phone before I took time off from work to come in and sit in the chair. Now I need to take mire time off from work next week for the extraction. Im fine with the extraction just feel my time and Dr. Wards time could have been utilized better.

Dr Ward was amazing. He was efficient. He was gentle with me and my anxiety with having root canals done. He stopped in between whatever he was doing and took x-rays to make sure he was doing everything correctly and on point. I did not feel a thing. For a root canal this was an exceptional experience. I couldnt have been placed in better hands. Dr. Ward is eminently qualified and experienced in root canals. I would just say that it would be nice if he smiled--even just once. It would put patients at ease. Im sure he didnt mean to come off the way he did, but I felt like I was the last patient of the day, rather than the first--like he was a bit tired. Might just be his personality--low affect (?)--but thats a minor consideration considering the thorough job he did. Also, he had to deal with a polyp in one of my canals. He could not get around it to clean the entire canal.

Disappointed that I need to replace my original crown which was perfectly fine. However, the end result, the root canal is fine and my tooth pain in gone, so in the end the procedure was a success at the cost of me needing a new crown.

I have had multiple root canals done in the past. This experience was by far the least painful. I had full confidence in Dr. Ward.

I will never be a patient of Dr. Wards again, nor would I recommend him to another person. While in my follow up with my regular dentist he said that the procedure Dr. Ward did was done well, I had a terrible experience. While the rubber piece was over my tooth to protect from bacteria, they put a bite block in my mouth to keep it open. My gag relax went off (something I have no control over), and was met with a quite a bit of negativity. The dentist told me that if thats how I was going to be, I needed to keep my mouth open as wide as possible, if I wanted to get out of there in under 2 hours. You could barely keep your mouth open while I was giving you the numbing shots in a very condescending and rude tone. We carried on with the procedure after agreeing to keep the bite block out. During the part of the procedure of drilling out the tooth for the root canal, the dentist explained that there would be a lot of noise and screeching sounds, but to try not to jump. Once he started drilling, I could feel the nerve hit and jumped, he paused for a moment and started going again, to which I again felt. Clearly irritated, he just looked at me, until the dental assistant finally asked if I was feeling that, to which I replied yes. He then did some more numbing, and it was pretty smooth sailing after that. He was joking with the assistant and seemed to loosen up, but after the first 20-25 minutes of the appointment, I was not pleased.

I went in for a simple procedure that doctor ward set up and okayed after viewing my exrays. I got there and he started taking implants and crowns I didnt even know what he was talking about. I have had a tooth ache since November and have been seen three times in December and I still have a toothache. Doctor Ward said he misread my exrays he didnt see I had a post under my crown. So I will have to have tooth extracted but cant do it until January 12th. AND I still have a tooth ache. I will have tooth extracted but then will find a new dentist clinic.

My family will never return to Dental Associates. This is do to the extremely poor treatment and lack of concern to provide proper dental health care when needed.

Dr Ward is very cold and I would not recommend him to anyone...a root canal should not shatter within 2 days....I followed all directions....eating rice should not break a tooth completely 2 days after spending a ton of money to save a tooth.

Dr ward did a wonderful job ,have experienced little discomfort from the root canals in the tooth.worst thing was the injection to numb the roof of the mouth.The rest of the root canal went great

I wish he had did the freeze test on my both terth before my root canal ..it was the other tooth in the end .Now I will wait until January for another root canal . its hard for me to tell which tooth was aching.

I was given no explanation or education of how to care for my tooth after the procedure. I could tell the doctor was running behind schedule, but it would have been nice to at least leave knowing how to do oral care after such an extensive and invasive procedure that was new to me.

unfortunately I was in way too much pain due to having TMJ, that Dr. Ward was unable to perform my root canal, he was very understanding and very compassionate.

I delayed having my root canal for a year because of dislike for the former dentist doing them. Dr. Ward made the wait worthwhile. I hope if I ever have to have another one he is still on staff.

Was having a root canal. I am a gagger and when he put the boot on it started to gag me. Dr. worked through it with me and made me comfortable during the procedure.

had to have 3 shots to freeze mouth. The one on the roof of my mouth was painful. had a temporary filling put in and it came out over the weekend.

I was treated like a toot, NOT a person. The dr. & assistant talked over my head like I wasn't there. My obvious pain was brushed off and my warnings of failure to become numb were not properly addressed. Upon being reminded that I can't see x rays, the dr. quit his explanation of my problem w/root canal even though I asked him to continue giving a verbal explanation.

Other dentists at clinic numb areas where Novocain W/B injected. Dr. Ward does not. Shocker!! But he did explain exactly what he was going to do and also during which is very important to me.

There was no appointment. I never met Dr. Wand - Actually, I had to call my dentist to find out that the x-rays were already read & diagnosed. His receptionist NEVER called me back regarding no need for appointment.
