she was amazing at comforting Josiah during the tooth removal
I appreciate that she is willing to take my questions and answer thoroughly. She also volunteers answers to questions I may have since I am new to toddler teeth care. They are all friendly to. I feel welcome and my daughter is happy there.
The dentist saw my daughter for pain all along one side of her mouth starting at the front (top and bottom of jaw). I was concerned there was an infection. The dentist said there was no infection. I did not like how she responded to my simple question of why she wanted to pull the front two teeth. She was condescending. She tried to talk to me from across the room. She acted like I was an idiot for wondering why she wanted to do what she was asking to do. And she did NOT CATCH the infection that was in the side of her mouth. She told me it was just teething. I took my daughter to a different dentist that afternoon at 4pm and they did an xray of the SIDE of her mouth and saw a tooth abscess. By 2pm my daughters face was swollen and under her eye was turning blueish. The second opinion dentist started her on antibiotics immediately and scheduled an extraction for as soon as the swelling could get under control a few days later. We had just moved back and I was about to schedule my 4 kids for cleanings and reestablish care at Dental Associates. I have already been back to DA since we moved. But now I do not trust my family to this practice. I am so glad that I did not trust that dentist. My daughter deserves better. I am amazed that a person with such lack of people skills works with kids, and that she did not notice the molar that was loose and painful even though my daughter was telling her that was where her pain was. The dentist from Park West noticed it in seconds.
they did a good job getting my daughter engaged and actively listening. I wanted to hear more about the teeth issues she may be having with soacing.
Dentist barely said 2 words, hygienists explained treatment which didnt make me feel comfortable and I didnt have the option to ask auestions.
I really appreciated the time to explain how to take care of my 1 yr olds teeth and the patience to answer questions. They were very friendly and seemed caring.
