Appreciated that he called the evening of the procedure to see if I was ok.
Dr. Chow is an extremely good dentist/surgeon. I respect him and have the utmost confidence in him. I would highly recommend anyone to see him.
Verry impressed with Dr Chows attention to details, concern for my level of comfort to how well he worked with his assistant Morgan. And he called that night to confirm that I was okay and see if I had any concerns.
Dr. Chow and his assistant were wonderful. They both explained things and helped relieve some of my anxiety.
he always explained what he was doing and asked me if i was doing good, comfortable or if i needed anything.
both Dr Chow and his assistant were wonderful! They were frequently making sure I was ok and comfortable! I greatly appreciated that! Thank you
dentist very helpful
Appreciated Dr. Chow following up with a phone call later that day.
Dr. Chow was very gentle in his exam. I appreciated his kindness and empathy.
always asked if I was ok with everything
Dr. Chow - surgeon and James, his assistant - exceptional!
I have nothing but good things to say about him.
Dr. Chao is very concerned about my well being after surgery.
Dentist caring for other patients in-between various procedures for me. Dentist remained calm & pleasant, but seemed pulled into too many different directions, resulting in longer wait times for me between procedures; when impression material removed, it pulled upper crown & I had to have it re-cemented. Whats that all about?
He spends the time to communicate well and repeats if necessary.
He was hard to understand.
This oral surgeon is a master of his art.
Excellent dentist. The provider valuable information about my teeth.
Dr.Chow accent made it slightly difficult to understand, however he was patient with the need to repeat things to me and could tell he knew of my financial concerns, he kept assuring me that we would work with payment issues.
Dr. Chow did an amazing job making sure that I was comfortable during my procedure, and doing a wonderful job on my procedure on the 22nd of February. I was very thankful for him and James....they work well together, and they made my 3 1/2 hours go smoothly.
Dr. Chow is a very compassionate person. Both during and after the procedure he was very concerned with my comfort and recuperation. Called me at home to see how I was doing.
Dr Chow is very thourough in his explainations and made sure I was not in pain. lastly he sensed I was frightened and helped me to relax.
when I asked Dr. Chow during the review before the implant he was not really clear on the number appointments . The sheet shows total of 6 more visits and Dr. Chow said only 3. Then the hygienist when I asked him is 6 more visits.
The only suggestion I have is that the discharge instructions be put in writing and handed to patient and reviewed while doctor is discussing. There was a little language barrier that caused some confusion.
It was a good experience -- I have no complaints.
worst dental experience I have ever had. Dr Chouw manhandled my mouth, pushed my face around then asked me to turn my head. worst of all, he burped at least 30 Times During the procesure with his face inches from mine. unbelievably disgusting. announces at the end that my teeth can be saved (no one up till then had told me that was an issue). Im 58 yrs old and have had a lot of dental experiences but this was the rudest and grossest. BTW, during his check, he never asked if I was comfortable or ok.
Dr. Chow is excellent - Very kind & gentle.
I like Dr. Chow. He knows what needs to be done and when your in the chair its 1, 2, 3 and done. Straight to business -
My dentist assistan was very good also!
Appreciate receiving follow up call as to how I was doing - since I live alone.
Very good dentist. I will return.
Dr. Chows English is hard for me to understand, but he tries very hard to explain everything in detail. I have seen him before but this time was different because his assistant who speaks without accent would make sure. I did understand. I have been very satisfied with Dr. Chow and he tries so hard to make sure the patient understands. I do not know if he always has the same person but the day I was there it was James. I have hearing aids but everything is not corrected so this might only my trouble in Understanding. He checked frequently to make sure I was doing OK.
Heavy accent made it hard to really know what he was really trying to say. I tried as hard as I could.
Talks fast hard to understand.
Dentist called me a few hours after procedure to see how I was doing. I though this was nice and thoughtful.
After the x-ray was done, the dentist came out & explained again what he thinks hes going to do.
I am glad a quality caring dentist like Dr. Chow is available at Dental Associates.
Didnt explain procedure if I planned to get an implant in area of extraction.
Excellent interaction from my Dentist.
Dr. Chow was very considerate of my dental needs & followed up in the evening to address any concerns. Very much appreciated.
Dentist was very nice
a very nice guy
Dr Chow very concerned about me and called me at night to check on me.
Dr. Chow is very understanding and explained all of my treatments.
My dentist is the best!
Nothing was mentioned about diet until the day of extraction. Since I was moving I had no access to cooking utensils.
Dr. Chow was very empathetic, kind, professional, and cared enough to inquire about what happened to me. He demonstrated empathetic listening skills, and genuinely cared for what happened to me, and explained how he was going to fix it. He was very cautious with his sterile technique, and has this amazing technique so that when he injects the local anesthetic, it doesn't hurt. He is very gifted.
I have described the excellent customer service showen by Dr. Chow. He spent a great deal of quality time explaining my options and next steps. He did a follow up call also.
Dr. Chow put me at ease. Was not as nervous.
Dr. Chow has done extensive dental work on me. He is kind, understanding and professional. I am glad I have him to do the work.
Dr. Chow seemed in a hurry, in and out of room.
Visit was a 5 minute follow up for an extraction.
he rocked. I asked for no pain and he did it.
Dr. Chow took the time to ask a few times during the procedure how I was doing and was I feeling any pain.
This was a yearly visit after I had undergone 3 cleanings the year before to check my progress! I kept asking if my teeth were better. He gave "Mixed" messages! At one point he said "Well, the damage is done!" Then after saying that he said "Yes, your teeth are much better." Which leads me to believe I should keep coming for 3-4 cleanings per year because it's an issue of spending money there!? Which is it? Damage is done OR my teeth are better?!!!! The statement of "the damage is done" was very discouraging & left me wondering what the 3 to 4 cleanings per year are for????
I was very nervous/anxious and Dr. Chow & Hannah were very kind & compassionate.
Dentist was very helpful
Both the doctor and associate were very helpful.
Dr. Chow is probably the most compassionate dentist I have ever worked with and has actually called after treatment to check on my well being.
Twice late, in a hurry to move on to next patient.
Dr. Chow seems very busy, but also seems to care.
Dr. Chow called me after my pulled tooth & implant. Never had a dentist do that before. A+ rating in my book.
This was my second experience with Dr. Chow and highLY recommend him to anyone needing dental surgery! He is wonderful!
Dentist broke everything down very well and find a way to get my wife to get the procedure done!
He always explains thoroughly what he will do and answers all questions. He repeats this as many times I needed.
Some difficulty hearing & understanding.
Dr. Chow is a pleasant professional gentleman. I am very pleased with his work.
Doctor took his time to exam and explain what he saw and also explain to me in a language that I could understand. He also answered all my questions.
Dr Chow called me that evening to check on me. That is a nice touch and wonderful service to give patients with a procedure like mine.
I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Chow and his staff.
Dr. Chow didn't talk much to me. He asked if I had any questions, but when I asked, he said the hygienist would answer everything
Dr. Chow has a great chair side manner.
When I had my surgery visit on 1/22/15 I received a call from dr. asking how I was. Next day I also received a call from him. Very nice to see someone who cares about you. Thank you very much.
I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Chow.
he even called and checked on me later in the day. I thought it was very nice.
The doctor called the next day to see how I was doing.
Dr. Chow is a very kind person. I was impressed that he called me to see how I was feeling after the procedure. In many cases, a medical assistant would be the person who makes the follow up patient call.
Do to dentists heavy accent he is somewhat difficult to understand.
My daughter absolutely loves Dr. Chow. He has been very thorough and attentive with her.
Outstanding follow-up by Dr. Chow. This was the first time in my entire history with a dental clinic that a dentist called me on a Saturday morning after surgery to inquire about my discomfort. I really appreciated this phone call.
I have seen many dentists before but, Dr. Chou has been the most sensitive and determined to making sure that all my teeth are taken care of in the best possible manner. He truly cares and is extremely talented and knowledgeable. I feel very fortunate to be in his care.
the day after my procedure, dr. chow called me personally to see how i was doing. (what doctor does that?) i will be thanking him for that personally on my next visit.
Dr. Chow was very concerned about my pain level & kept asking if I was okay. He was excellent.
I am most impressed with Dr Chow's expertise. They are very caring to the patient.
Dr. Chow & assistants were terrific and very comforting with my procedures.
Difficult to understand dentist - language differences.
Dentist & staff were great & very pleased with visit.
HE TALKED VERY QUICKLY, I HAD TO ASK HIM TO REPEAT WHAT HE SAID.. HE WAS GOOD, BUT HE WAS 'IN' AND 'OUT'.
Experience was exceptional especially courtesy call from Dr Chow checking on how I was doing.
answered Q's & made me feel like I belonged under Dental Assc. Care.
I had a little bit of a hard time understanding doctor--soft spoken and accent.
Dr. Chow was fabulous he called me several times after the procedure to ensure I was OK that is great! He's availability is very limited to 1 day a week.
I will recommend Dr. Chow he is great.
He's an okay guy but hard to understand what his English
It's hard to understand. The first thing he did was walk in and insult my front teeth. I have white spots since a child on my front teeth and he asked me why I don't have them fixed - before he even introduced himself. He pretty much told me there is no treatment for my peridontal disease.
I do like the staff at DA. They are all very nice & efficient.
I have a serious kidney disease which seriously puts me at risk for infections. Basically any infection is my body takes a long time to heal, tends to develop much worse, and runs the risk of finding it's way into my kidneys and bloodstream very quickly. Yet, he didn't seem to take any extra precautions with how he treated me. It takes a lot of effort for me to stay healthy. Having the extraction has thrown my health way off. He never mentioned the possibility of this. In fact, he told me the procedure was no big deal and i'd be in and out in an hour. He had a "piece of cake" attitude. Well, maybe for him but for me the whole thing is still not healed 2 weeks later and I couldn't do anything the first 4 days. I was stuck in bed basically. He should have discussed what I could expect instead of treating me like a child and saying it was all going to be fine. I had to cancel lots of my plans because I wasn't given a realistic idea of what to expect after the tooth extraction.
Dr. Pienkos and Dr. Chow are awesome! If it wasn't for them, I would have probably had gotten my dental work done somewhere else.
Both Dr.s called me at home, after I had oral surgery, and showed genuine concern for my well being.
DR CHOW IS EXCELLENT, HAS GREAT CHAIR SIDE MANNERS AND EVEN DID A FOLLOW-UP CALL TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING. I TRUST HIS JUDGEMENT COMPLETELY. I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH A TOOTH THAT ULTIMATELY HAD TO BE PULLED AND THEY GOT ME IN WITH A DENTIST THE NEXT BUSINESS AND FOLLOW-UP WITH DR. CHOW IN LEST THAN A WEEK WHEN I CALLED TO HAVE MY GUM SURGERY FOR THE RT UPPER AND LOWER QUADRANT OF MY MOUTH. I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE FRANKLIN DENTAL ASSOCIATES CLINIC. MUCH BETTER SERVICE THAN THE BURLEIGH CLINIC.
MUCH BETTER DENTAL EXPERIENCE AND TREATMENT FROM DR. CHOW THAN MY EXPERIENCE WITH MY PREVIOUS GUM SURGERY DENTIST.
Dentist is very hard to understand.
I had a consultation with Dr. Chow where he explained all of my options and answered all of my questions. On the day of my appointment, I felt like I was taking excellent care of. No one looks forward to getting a tooth extracted, but Dr. Chow made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure and beyond.
I look forward to going back to Dr. Chow to thank him for all of his help. While getting an implant is not the most enjoyable experience, I would recommend any to go to Dental Associates/Dr. Chow because I believe he made it the best experience it could be.
I would say that I am beyond impressed in Dental Associates and Dr. Chow's concern for my well being. During the procedure, Dr. Chow checked on how was doing often and explained each procedure. Afterwards, I was in a great deal of pain as expected and the medication I was prescribed did not seem to have any effect. My husband called and he was given many options/remedies that may help. Dr. Chow then followed up with me and I was still not feeling any relief. He prescribed a different medication that did help with the pain. He then followed up later that night and the next day to check on my progress. I was overwhelmed by the genuine concern of Dr. Chow to make sure I was comfortable after the procedure!
Dr. Chow explained everything well and called me later on to see how I was doing. I liked that.
My hygienist Jeannie L. does an excellent job!
Needed one tooth extracted. I called for the appointment on March 12th. I was told the first opening at the Burleigh office was mid May,and that I could get in at the Kenosha office the first week of April. I asked about Franklin office and they had opening on March 24....You need more dentists !!!!!
I should get a discount for having to wait so long.
Best hygienist I ever HAD!
Dr. Chow has very strong accent. At times it was difficult to completely understand each word. However, he repeated his statements enough times so that eventually I could catch on to what he said.
At times difficult to understand as he is another nationality.
Procedure took much longer then necessary. Equipment malfunction had to change room the first assistant was snobbish and had a condescending attitude. Mistake was made for the kind of treatment I requested and what the chart showed.
Dr. Chow explained everything very clearly. I've seen him numerous times for my implant and he always explained everything so that I understood.
Dentist is foreign & his accent is hard to understand. When his assistant would explain so I understood - - he treated her as if she was interrupting, not clarifying so the patient understood. Perhaps it is a culture thing.
Dr. Chow's English is pretty good but with my hearing difficulties we had to work together. Overall I'm confident he will complete the implant correctly.
Some difficulty with word pronunciation - hard to understand dentist at times but he was very nice so it is easy to over look. He gladly repeated himself when I didn't understand.
Couldn't understand his English very choppy conversation. Both dr. & assistant.
Crowned the wrong tooth. I scheduled an appt. for a tooth bothering me on the lower right and apparently since there was two that needed crowns she took it upon herself to guess which one. This was not a routinely scheduled appt. This was an appt. made
Dr. Chow was great at explaining procedures and answered all of my questions.
Problem might have been found at last cleaning.
I had a hard time understanding him. I had to ask 3 times how the procedure worked and he finally showed me a model and explained very little. I had an extraction at your facility last year and I really liked the dr. that did that.
Detail explanations were provided by the dentist
The dentist was adequate to a degree.
The dentist was not clean. He used gloves to adjust the seat. He did not change gloves. I also found it hard to understand him. I am still having that problem & I will seek advise from a dentist at a different location. Sanitary practices needsed
Could not understand a single word he said.
His accent made him more difficult to understand, but his efforts to be sure I understood helped this.
The dentist spoke very broken English, making him difficult to understand. I was unaware I had a suture in my mouth until I observed it a day later.
Dentist was great.
I require oral surgery which I cannot afford & dr. was pushing me to do surgery all in 1 day instead of 2 days, when I can't afford it & told dr. my husband might be laid off from Caterpillar.
I feel very comfortable with this dentist. Sure he can help take care of my needs.
I liked my dentist it was just hard to understand him. His assist was interpreter helped me understand.
After I got used to him - I had no trouble understanding him -
I had a tooth pulled - so all was as good as it could be -
The whole app't. took approx. 5 mins., the charge for the app't. is $96.00 which appears to be a lot.
Very polite, respectful, professional.
I like how he gave me different options and time to think about it!
Everywhere I could brag about the service I did. He & his assistant were so nice & comforting. I have referred all my family & friends if surgery is needed. I wish he was my regular dentist.
Very bad experience. Dr's assist could barely understand the dentist and she was very cold. After this experience if it weren't for my insurance I would go to a different dentist.
Dr. Chow seems extremely knowledgeable however his accent is extremely hard to understand. I really wish the second dentist who is doing my crown could have jointed us at the appointment also. Unfortunately the dental assistant also had an accent
