Dentist was very uninterested when he came in, looked at the x-ray and just told me to have all my wisdom tooth extracted at once. He did not ask what I wanted or preferred to be done. He talked to fast like in a hurry and treating me just like a transaction rather than a patient. When my husband asked him a few medical questions in regards to my current dental condition around my wisdom teeth and the risks of not extracting them, the dentist answers were somewhat sarcastic and not in depth dentist type of answers, and again very uninterested in what what being asked he just kept recommending just having all of my four wisdom teeth extracted at once as he kept referring to his own experience and being able to work the next day story. I felt unvalued and just told the dentist and assistant that I would think about it further and come back with a decision later instead of being rushed/pushed on the spot during this visit to make a decision quickly. Very uncomfortable appointment.

Communicated with the dentist that the local hadnt fully kicked in yet and he still began the procedure. It was obvious he was rushing through it especially because it was communicated earlier that my appointment was running about 40 minutes late due to an emergency walk in appointment. I was visually crying and shaking and did not receive appropriate numbing. This was a terrible experience and I never want to have any work done by this surgeon again.

The overall implant process has required numerous visits to this surgeon involving various procedures (extractions, bone grafts, implants, follow-up exams), and various options regarding treatments and scheduling, and he has always let me have a role in deciding what work to have done and when. Dr. LaSpisa has consistently done an excellent job of explaining just what is involved with each procedure, and has always walked me through everything that he is doing every step of the way. He is very personable and likeable (and funny), and has made the ordeal of having several missing teeth replaced seem less onerous and more routine.

My Oral Surgeon Dr. Joseph A. LaSpisa was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! His bedside manner was beyond what one would expect. Extremely friendly, extremely professional and yet extremely down to earth. I had never met him but immediately gravitated to his kindness and compassion for medical care.

Dr Ward was our initial contact for a root canal but we decided with him that there was a good probability that it would not work on my 87 year old mom He was very knowledgeable and kind and we both really appreciated his kind manner I was not in the room for the extraction but my mom said everything was good with Dr LaSpisa I would definitely recommend this Dental Associates to others Also all the staff were kind and answered all our questions. Thank you all!!

Again, I thought the dentist was okay. He did his job and attempted to make me feel comfortable. He briefly explained what would occurred. Spent a lot of time telling jokes but maybe that was his way of living up the room. He explained post op care rather quick after the procedure. I asked if any of the information would be written down and he said care would be explained on the prescriptions and basically sent me on my way.

The dentist and assistant talked to me the entire time to make sure I was comfortable. The dentist even told jokes to calm me down. Exceptional demonstration of patience and understanding with my son during his oral procedure who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder and who was moderately resistant during the procedure. I would have rather had someone else do my surgery! He was hitting my other three teeth in my mouth with the instruments he was using to take our my tooth. I would have rather been put to sleep for this surgery. I was very nervous and I started to cry and the doctor said, to me I DONT KNOW WHY YOUR CRYING! I wanted to say, because YOUR HURTING ME! However, I just sat there and wanted him to get done with my mouth! I didnt want to make him mad!

Surgeon did not show me exactly what tooth he needs to extract. Only showed xray and told me what number. Surgeon needed to know exactly where gum infection was, applied topical numbing agent and inserted cones in area. I was in pain and doctor was just telling me to relax and calm down. Insensitive to level of pain. Does not seem to be concerned about patients comfort level. Did not apply more topical agent. This is a concern for moving forward with surgery. May return to previous dentist in other location who was gentler and more concerned and made sure area was numb to perform procedure.

He also was excellent I believe he could. tell I was uncomfortable, he made me feel at ease, and what was even better he pulled my tooth and I didnt even know that he was finished which made me even happier. I left the office feeling really good. The experience wasnt nearly as painful as I thought it would be. He was very reassuring. I just cannot say enough good things about him ,his assistant Mr. Pablo the whole experience was great considering I avoid the dentist as much as possible. this was the third time I came in for this procedure. They thought again that it was a consult. But they decided to do the procedure anyway. Saw two separate dentists - both were very caring and I appreciate what they did for me. Unfortunately, my treatment plan had to be changed and Im wondering if it was because the dentist was so busy the first available appointment for him was 2 months from the original date he saw me. When he saw me 2 months ago my tooth was not loose...infected but not loose. I thought it was the crown that was loose but it was the tooth - so with that said it had to be removed. He was very nice and helpful about it and even spoke with another dentist to see if he could squeeze me in to have this tooth removed since it has been bothering for more than the two months. Dr. LaSpisa (sp) was able to do the removal then so I didnt have to come back.

I felt that the dentist did not thoroughly explain my options for anesthesia and seemed to insist that I choose an option for getting my wisdom teeth removed with out much information. Seemed rushed and did not care about my concerns. I dont trust this dentist and decided I dont want to work with him for my wisdom teeth removal. I tried to schedule a consult. With a different oral surgeon, but unfortunately my insurance wont cover another consultation. Very disappointed with this experience.

This was the first time I met this dentist. He walked in said hello, I responded Hi how are you today? His response was livin the dream His next remark was about suicide...then said I shouldnt joke my good friend just committed suicide. Very strange conversation for someone I didnt know, I should have gotten out of the chair and reschedule with a dentist elsewhere. I mentioned to the dentist that I had a wisdom tooth pulled in April of 2017 and I bleed for more than 24 hours. I explained my daughter has a diagnosed bleeding disorder which the Dr. believes was from me. He seemed uninterested. After his brief exam he seemed more interested in talking me into a dental implant than anything else early that Monday morning. When he told me the out of pocket cost for the implant I told him I couldnt afford it. Which then Dr. HACK appeared. He injected me with numbing medication and within 30 seconds he started working on removing my tooth. He was not gentle or caring at this point. By the time that he was finished my mouth was full of blood, he ushered me out of the exam room to the front door. No waiting to see if the bleeding would slow down. I left the building called my daughter who was an RN, she talked to me as my mouth was filling up with blood I sat in the parking lot letting the blood gush from my mouth. I didnt go back in as my daughter suggested because, I knew this dentist was so unprofessional I didnt want to have anything to do with him. This dentist knew I was going to work( I am a supervisor at a Bank) after this never did he suggest a Dr. excuse instead he was more interested in pushing vicodine down my throat, when I declined he said everyone wants this. I said I didnt want that I would take Advil instead. My suggestion would to watch this dentist in action and how he interacts with patients, I dont believe he has their best interest at heart. His motive was to get me to spend money that I didnt have. I have been coming to Dental Associates since the 1980s and I can tell you this dentist was the absolute worst.

Dr. L.s explanation of my treatment options when I asked about ORIF was You dont want a big scar do you? Thats what youll get. When I asked out post-op instructions I was told I needed a PT. He told me later I did not need emergency wire cutters for wired jaw - and only when I asked specifically about them. Didnt talk much.

I have anxiety going to the dentist which is listed on my chart. During the extraction I felt pain. I notified them immediately but I felt rushed while I was in the chair. I cancelled the second extraction on the stop after I felt the pain of the first extraction. This was a difficult experience for myself.

I was impressed greatly with the expertise of Dr. Laspisa in the extraction of the root of the tooth that had broken off with only the root remaining - expected 2 injections (as in fillings) but he explained only I was necessary and there was no need to overcompensate the jaw later.

The doctor was very rough and I woke up during the operation twice and he just kept going. The rest of the staff was very nice. Shelly for one did an outstanding job answering questions.I feel the pain could have been lesser of the doctor was more gentle. He even stuck me with the needle before the nova cane kicked in. The ma was a butcher if u ask me.

The hygienist did most of the work- not the dentist. The hygienist explained my four options not the dentist. Dr. Laspisa came in rather abrupt and overly confident and narcissistic in his educational background and in his responses.

This surgeon traumatized me and was aggressive and rude. I cried through most of the procedure. He said very inappropriate things and showed no concern for my comfort. I will drive to another location if I ever need a surgeon again!!
