This dentist seemed in a hurry and annoyed he had to deal with my daughter, who was very anxious about having a filling done (she never had one done before). He didnt always explain what he was doing in a way she could understand. For instance, when she was having a hard time keeping her mouth open wide enough, he put a clamp into her mouth to hold it open but didnt adequately explain first what he was doing. This caused her to panic, and he seemed annoyed when he had to take the clamp back out. He lacked empathy and barely involved me (as her mother) or her (as a young child) in this procedure.

As this was my sons first visit here, I expected a warm and welcome greeting, especially from a pediatric provider. Dr. DeLeon was abrasive and harsh, suggesting that my sons oral health was poor and insinuated underlying habits that were inaccurate. He did not have a single positive thing to say (despite my son having no cavities) and was rather condescending when I asked clarifying questions about potential treatment in the future.

Unfortunately I loved your office but we will be going else where to get thru the next steps of my daughters dental plan Dr. DeLeon was very rude and literally said I dont care when I asked questions then proceeded to scrap my daughters teeth extremely hard she started to cry and he just said his assistant would give me paperwork and that was it. Extremely rude and disrespectful will not be going back to him

The dental hygiene was amazing. She explained everything to my fearful child. And showed him what each device did and sounded like before she used it. She was also very encouraging to my child. The dentist however was very rough and did not talk to my child or explain things to him. When the dentist told me about my childs teath he was very generic and I had to ask him what he ment. The dentist seemed to have a poor attitude.

I had zero interaction with the dentist. I only talked to the hygienist after she cleaned i teeth. this is completely unacceptable. I had several questions and didnt even get the opportunity to ask them. my son told me he hardly even looked at his teeth.

We have read - heard about bad things using fluoride. We chose not to have kids teeth treated with it. Would be nice for the dentist to be aware of these issues too. He respected our choice. Asked why which is fine.

I felt the dentist couldve been more forthcoming with offering suggestions to my kids on good dental hygiene at home. My kids brush twice per day, and they rarely drink juice or soda, yet the dentist still found cavities on my sons teeth. After asking what my kids could do to improve their brushing and flossing (in front of my kids, so they could hear the dentists answer), I was taken aback when, after offering some suggestions, the dentist said that these are habits kids need to learn at an early age to develop good habits, and that if my kids have been doing a simple quick brush for this long, itll be hard to get them to do anything different. I found that a bit pessimistic.

last visit was not good at all, doctor accused me of being late when I was actually early even confirmed after accusations with receptionist I was early, because of this the dentist did not want to proceed with the entire appointment. If it wasnt for my insurance and the coverage it offers for braces, I would not be using Dental associates and as soon as my children are done with braces I will be switching out. due to the encounter, I will be a stronger advocate for my childrens care at Dental Associates, I really question if DA has the best interest of my childrens smile

It was our first time. After the kids were examined, the dentist explained what needed to be done, however, his explanation was very technical and being a patient who has never done these procedures before, we had no idea what was going on, or what to do next.

Asked for tips on how to brush my son's back teeth better to prevent cavities and was told "Just do it. I was able to." Felt like the exam and time spent explaining things to me as a parent was very rushed and dentist was not very caring.

He was VERY rough with my baby, holding him down and there was LOTS of bleeding in his gums even though he has healthy teeth. No explanation was given for the rough treatment and this makes me reconsider bringing him back to this dentist again.

During the cleaning the dentist accidentally hit my son's gums while trying to remove plaque from the back of his teeth which caused some bleeding.

My daughter was very nervous about the tools being used. Her doctor was very good about being flexible and using just a toothbrush. However, by the end of the appointment, it was evident he was frustrated with her and losing patience.

We checked "no" when asked about fluoride treatment, but the dentist still applied it. This was our only complaint. Otherwise, he is awesome. Great with the kids...he spends as much time as we need explaining things to us as parents...and he is very thorough in his examination & treatment of our kids.

This dentist was new to us. Our previous dentist retired. This dentist was so awesome, kind, and thorough! He showed me exactly how I should be brushing my children's teeth by using my son and his new toothbrush. It was super helpful! No one had ever shown me that before. I was so appreciative!

My husband has medical knowledge and training. He spoke with the doctor who although very willing to spend time explaining things did not seem to communicate well. My husband had to ask many follow up questions to be sure he understood.

Dentist again questioned if we wanted a baby tooth pulled. He was told no before at the previous visit. He actually questioned the child why your mom doesn't want it pulled. Not appropriate to question a child about this matter I believe.

The room is too small for multiple patients and their parents. No privacy and people constantly walking around. I was nervous someone was going to walk into the chair my son was in and create a problem. The hygienists and assistants talking to each other across the room is very distracting. I did not appreciate how the assistant handled the equipment and supplies that were being used on my child - resting on the counter, resting under the lip of the counter and especially her itching her hand on the corner of the counter and then touch supplies again. The gloves aren't just for her protection but the patients as well. The area were parents are to sit is in the middle of a walk way. At the end of the appt. my childs evaluation was not done in privacy --there was no regard to share the optional treatment available to him between us. By the way it was difficult to understand what he said, so I emailed to get more info.

I was very upset after leaving this appointment. I have brought my daughter in since she was two years old. and we have made every 6 month appointment since. She have been in to get cavities filled. Her upper right front tooth has always been an area of concern. At this appointment I was told that she now need a root canal and a cap. If this tooth was this bad why wasn't it fixed previously. I was told that you don't take x-rays of front teeth. At 4 she have to get a root canal and a cap which I feel could have been prevented if it was caught in previous appointments. Now we need to do three different appointments to correct the other problems in her mouth. More money and more time off of work for me. I was told "when I called to schedule the appointment" that they don't like to numb both sides of little ones mouths. Which is totally understandable. I question why this information is not provided to the parent at the time of the appointment. I'm not happy.

My son has chronic kidney disease. I was disappointed that he had not reviewed that prior to seeing my son. When I did explainwhat his disease was, I felt like he did not address my son but instead addressed him like he was a third party. I did not feel confident that he understood the disease. instead of asking me questions about his disease, he just assumed what supliments and food restrictions he was on based on other patients. His assumptions were incorrect and we're pretty irrelevant to my son's disease.
