Dr. John Gonis graduates from Marquette Dental School.

Dr. Gonis opens Dental Associates at 1100 S. 16th St. in Milwaukee with two part-time assistants. No masks, no gloves... dentistry has come a long way!

By 1977, Dr. Gonis had outgrown his original practice and moved across the street to 1135 S. 16th St. (a.k.a. S. Cesar Chavez Dr.).

Two additional dentists joined Dr. Gonis' practice on 16th Street.

In 1977, the clinical and support teams were also growing.

Restoration of Iron Block Building is completed. Built in 1860, and on the National Registry of Historic Places, the building's facade required over 42,000 new iron cast parts to restore its facade along Wisconsin Ave. and Water Street. Here, crews unveil the buildings new sign.
