Dr.Pillai has been excellent through, from the initial consultation and explanation of the plan for a dental implant, and especially on 2/9/26. He fully explained why only the tooth extraction could be performed, with the implant to be delayed for 4 months , in view of a mild infection. He was very compassionate.His surgery assistant fully and clearly explained the post-extraction care and follow up plan.

I was not introduced to the dentist and they did not speak fo me at all. I dont even know If It was a man or woman! It would have been nice to actually meet the person operating on my child and explain what was happening. When I pay $800 for one tooth to get pulled, that should be the minimum that happens.

The dentist got an attitude when I asked a clarifying question about what prescriptions my daughter would receive. He said in an irritated tone, This is what we have been discussing this entire time. I was unclear if he was prescribing my daughter a medicine or if he was asking if I wanted him to do it. So I was trying to get clarification and he snapped at me.

I was unhappy with how I was treated during this appointment. First, the doctor walked in a fist bumped me, which is very unprofessional. I am not a child, and I do not want to be treated as one. The assistant did not ask me how I was feeling (physical feeling of tooth pain), she assumed I was feeling a sort of way, did not listen to anything I had to say, she just kept on her speech. Neither the assistant nor the doctor listened to my pain/discomfort, told me how I was feeling instead of asking me, and I had to reiterate 3 times that I wanted to be put under anesthesia and that I wanted all the wisdom teeth out in one surgery; the doctor and assistant kept beating around the bush and had no empathy when I said I was experiencing a lot of discomfort, and that Id have to wait until late January to have this taken care of. The doctor then chose to fist bump again on his way out, which again, was not professional. I wont be doing my surgery with this doctor.

Dr. Pillai was incredible from consultation to surgery. He was very thorough in explaining everything that was happening with the IV, which was the most nerve wrecking part for me. I felt a little sad that I wasnt able to thank him for making me feel so comfortable during my consultation and surgery visits.

I have so much anxiety when Im just sitting in the waiting room. And usually afterwards have to sit for approximately 30 minutes to gather myself. But not this time!! I love Dental Associates! Ill NEVER go anywhere else!

My mouth was not originally 100% frozen when the doctor checked. I jumped and the Dr appeared impatient because he was checking with sharp tools. I understand his concerns and he addressed the problem although I felt his initial reaction to pain I could feel was a bit rude.

Dentist is excellent. He even explains what hes doing to my son, whom understands him. Again many people believe non-verbal persons are limited in there capacity to understand commands. Nice that this doesnt need to be explained.

Dr Pillai made arrangements in his busy schedule to fit me sooner, because I am in a lot of pain. His assistant gave him a couple of dates that would work, but he told her he needed to get me in sooner. Thank you so much for getting me in asap.

Nothing was done. Dentist got an attitude when I said give me a second, Im nervous and walked out of the room. Came back in and finally left for good because hes an ego-maniac. Poor people skills when dealing with someone who is nervous.

Pillai really explained my options, and each step of what he was doing. This is the 2nd time Im having the same implant removed and he was clearly the best at it. Almost pain free which is definitely a first!

I do understand this dr, has a foreigh accent,,, soooo little ....and yet he is so excellent, he has a great speaking voice and is such a good dr, there was one other assistant who spoke with an accent too and it took me a little time to listed more closely to her. also the dr said 1 had 2 ways to deal with this wisdom tooth,,and i chose what i wanted,

Patient was accompanied by Aunt. Because of lack of consent form signed by parent Dr. could not do procedure. While that was completely appropriate and understandable, Dr. expressed frustration to patient who was already nervous anticipating oral surgery. Made it a very stressful and negatively emotional visit for patient. Dentist was right in not treating and could have been understandably frustrated, but that is no excuse for taking it out on the minor patient who was not responsible for the misunderstanding/mistake.

It was not made clear that the dentist was only planning to remove the lower wisdom teeth. He spoke of maybe removing the upper ones and would evaluate at the actual extraction appointment. When I checked with billing they said a claim was sent to remove the lower teeth only. I think the dentist did not make this clear.

I appreciated the honest, straight forward discussion on course of treatment. Basically, "do no harm" - meaning that the tooth isn't causing me any problems so will wait until bridge near tooth needs to be replaced and reconsider options at that time.

He was the first dentist to tell me I needed braces because of one tooth that has been crooked since it came in. I was slightly irked by that and then when I returned to see the oral surgeon, he told me I had a very nice set of teeth and there was no mention of braces.

My experience with this dentist and the receptionist was extremely awful. This dentist did not hear me out when I came in with excessive bleeding after the surgery. He gave me a few rushed minutes of his time and then rushed me out the door. He did not try to figure out what was wrong and told me it was my fault that I was not following procedures. I know that that is incorrect and after a couple more episodes of excessive bleeding that this dentist refused to take my calls during, I decided to seek another opinion. After meeting with another dentist this second dentist right away noticed that something was wrong. He was surprised that I had not had an x Ray done and went ahead with getting me an immediate x Ray after helping me form a clot with some gel. This X Ray showed that there was a floating piece of bone in my socket. If the original dentist had cared, he could have found this out. He could have also have saved me 6 hours of non stop bleeding from the surgical site.
