Early Treatment (Phase 1)
The American Academy of Orthodontics suggests children are seen at age 7 for an orthodontic consultation. Some of these children, who have crossbites or severe crowding for example, will need Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment.
Traditional Braces (Phase 2)
If your child does not need Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment, most children start Traditional Orthodontic Treatment between the ages 11-14.
