This was the 2nd extraction Dr. Schmidt did for me, and I asked for him specifically. My previous extraction was more complex, and I had no pain, swelling, or bleeding afterward. This time, it went even more smoothly, and I am so grateful.

Dentist did not even introduce himself upon entering the room. He was like a robot and explaining the oral surgery for wisdom teeth extraction and gave three options of sedation, ran through the options, indicated the risks was very nonchalant about the risks, and was not in anyway reassuring That this is a routine procedure and these risks are minimal but can happen. He explained the risks like a robot and acted as if our anxieties regarding the procedure and such risks were unfounded.

Due to it being an unexpected outcome I was a bit nervous. Dr. Schmidt was very patient with me and took his time explaining what was going to happen and what was happening during the procedure. He also made a point to make sure that my pain was managed.

Dr. Paul Schmidt came in to speak with me about the surgery process for wisdom teeth. Our conversation was very cut and dry. It sounded rehearsed, and I didnt get the sense that he cared about me as a patient. He just got through what he needed to. The Dr who will be performing my procedure was not someone I would recommend, someone who made it aware of anxiety and past experience with surgery did not show much empathy with trying to ease my mind with the procedure . I really like Dr. Schmidt AND his staff. they all treat me like I was the onky person there. He took x-ray which confirmed it wasnt dental related and wouldnt let me leave without getting a referral and an appt through to a neurologist.

this dentist has terrible bedside manner. He was rude and short with me when I asked questions. He made me feel dumb for asking my questions. He was rough and caused pain to my child during his brief exam. He tried to tell me they didnt have a 3D X-ray on my child on file when I knew he had it done there. (eventually they found it). If we did not have the supplemental plan with Dental Associates saving us money on the procedure I would have went to another dentist instead after this interaction. I am concerned about how he will treat my son the day of his procedure.

I was presented with only one treatment option. When I asked about any other treatments I was told that I wouldnt be happy with the (one) other option . I have taking very good care of my teeth and had a failing root canal tooth pulled this summer. My root canal was the result of a fractured jaw that happened in a car accident when I was 14. I asked about a partial or implant for another alternative treatment plan. I was told I would forget about having a parcial and bite into an apple or something. I repeated I was not in any way shape or form comfortable with the option (only one offered to me) they were pushing. I was very clear that I was not on board with them pulling two more (healthy teeth), and grinding down two more teeth to make a bridge. To me this seems overkill. I was very clear that I didnt agree with affecting 4 teeth to fix pulling one bad tooth. I explained to them that I was very concerned about removing more heathy teeth. I likened if to if I had a infected hand they were going to remove it at the elbow, no wait better yet remove it at the shoulder to make sure they got it all! And I said that very same thing to them to stress that I was not comfortable with the option they wanted to do. I cried the whole way home. the next day I contacted another dentist that gave me other options for bridges and for implants. I am looking into a second option as of now. Staff and everyone involved has been respectful and professional. I just would like to consider ALL treatment plans.

Dr. Knapp explained what I need to take care of first in order to get good results. He expressed concerned for things I was unaware of as it relates to my treatment. I even remembered asking him if he did not think it was too many of my teeth he was taking away from me. He showed and explained why the teeth needed to be extracted. I was very unimpressed with this dr. He didn't so much as say hello when he walked in or introduce himself to me or my daughter. Very short and uncaring. My daughter was uncomfortable because the light was shining in her face and instead of maybe offering sunglasses like many dentists do or showing any sort of care, he said sharply for her to tip her head back. He looked at the problem for a couple seconds, really looked like he hardly glanced. I have no interest in this dr. caring for my child, especially in a surgical setting.

I was considering a dental implant and Dr. Schmidt answered all my questions. He told me what other options I had in case a dental implant would not work for me. He encouraged me to call him if any other questions occurred to me after I left. On each visit to his office I was made to feel very welcome and every procedure done went well. I was very pleased and would most definitely recommend Dr. Schmidt and his staff to anyone who is considering having the same procedure done.

There were several weeks between when the appointment was scheduled and when it occurred. When we saw the oral surgeon, he only had a single view and had not viewed the complete CT scan, so could not really give us much information at all, so the appointment was a waste of time. He would not give me any alternatives to a biopsy, or tell me anything that he might find other than an air cyst which would resolve itself on its own. They then proceeded to have me meet with a financial person to discuss payment for a biopsy when we didn't even know if it would be needed.

Dentist and assistant were very helpful throughout whole procedure. Talked me through everything the entire time to let me know what was happening and to calm me down. I was very pleased with how fast the procedure went and how well they treated me. I was scared coming into the surgery but during it i realized I had nothing to worry about. Very nice people and they knew what they were doing and were very professional about it!

Dentist appeared knowledgeable but it felt a bit routine and scripted- he quickly explained everything but did address questions well. I was shocked that we were in there only about 10 minutes and the bill was $96 uncovered by insurance.

I feel like he was slurring words together and I couldn't understand. However, that's not a problem. He was a good dentist.

My only complaint is that Dr. Schmidt talks a lot and very fast so it is hard to digest his advice/knowledge.

I did note that when Paul Schmidt, D.D.S. had ask me a question when working on my teeth had stopped to let me answer. I just wish he would of made a preplan on how would communicate LOL.

Went to two Dental Ass, one in Appleton, then went to Fondulas which was closer, the doctor I had was very nice. Had two tooth pulled and he was quick about it. Will go back.

I was very apprehensive to have a wisdom tooth pulled, Dr. Schmidt and his assistant were very in tuned to my worries and put me at ease. Dr. Schmidt was very personable and did an excellent job.
